About the Role
The Manager, Communications, Marketing and Events (Identified) provides strategic leadership and high level expertise in the planning and delivery of communications, marketing and events that enhance organisational visibility and stakeholder engagement. The role supports the Board, Executive Director and executive team by ensuring high quality, consistent and timely communications aligned with the organisation’s strategic objectives.

We're Looking For
-
Strategic Communications and Marketing: Oversee ALT’s communications and marketing, including social media, to promote programs, grant processes and outcomes, and to strengthen the visibility of language revitalisation across the broader community.

Events Leadership and Delivery: Lead the design, planning and delivery of ALT’s events program, including major events such as the Aboriginal Languages Trust Gathering and Languages Week, and coordinate ALT’s presence at key community events in line with the Strategic Plan and Board directions.

Media and Issues Management: Lead proactive media and issues management through monitoring, risk assessment and timely responses to support accurate public understanding of ALT’s work and protect organisational reputation and public confidence.

Expert Communications Advice and Quality Assurance: Provide expert communications advice, project support and quality assurance to ensure clear messaging, accurate information and timely delivery of organisational priorities.

Brand Stewardship and Cultural Integrity: Oversee the development, implementation and consistent application of ALT’s brand to ensure a culturally respectful and high quality visual identity across all materials.

Governance, Project and Reporting Oversight: Coordinate governance processes and provide high quality support to the Board and relevant committees, while managing project plans and budgets and delivering high quality reporting on communications, marketing, events, participation, outcomes and community impact.
