About Us:

We provide psychological services tailored to individuals who have experienced physical and emotional impacts resulting from accidents. We provide professional services to allied health practitioners, general practitioners, and medical specialists and clients.

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced provisional psychologist/psychologist nec to join our team as per the above location, on full time basis.

About the Role

The successful applicant will provide psychological assessment, counselling, treatment planning, client support and report writing services within their scope of registration. Applicants holding AHPRA provisional registration will work under appropriate supervision and in accordance with Psychology Board of Australia requirements.

Key Duties include:

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

· Conduct psychological assessments to identify and evaluate clients’ cognitive, behavioural, emotional, developmental and mental health needs.

· Administer, score and interpret psychological screening tools, diagnostic assessments and other relevant assessment instruments within the limits of professional registration and supervision.

· Develop, implement and review individual and group treatment, intervention and support plans to address psychological, social, emotional, behavioural, health and wellbeing issues.

· Provide evidence-based psychological interventions, counselling support and behavioural strategies to clients experiencing mental health, developmental, emotional or behavioural difficulties.

· Provide crisis intervention, support and referral assistance to individuals experiencing distress, risk or acute psychological difficulty.

· Monitor and evaluate client progress throughout assessment, intervention and treatment, and modify intervention plans where required.

· Prepare psychological reports, treatment summaries, progress notes and recommendations for clients, referrers, third parties and relevant decision-makers where required.

· Maintain accurate, confidential and up-to-date client records in accordance with professional, ethical, privacy and organisational requirements.

· Consult and collaborate with medical practitioners, allied health professionals, educators, support workers, families, carers and other relevant professionals to support multidisciplinary assessment and intervention.

· Collect and analyse client information, clinical observations and assessment outcomes to assist with case formulation, treatment planning and recommendations.

· Assist with the development and evaluation of psychological programs, intervention resources and client support strategies.

· Keep up to date with relevant psychological research, ethical standards, professional guidelines and evidence-based practice requirements.

· Participate in professional supervision, case review, professional development and compliance activities as required by the Psychology Board of Australia and the employer.

Applicants must have:

· A degree in psychology.

· Current or eligible AHPRA provisional registration or general registration as a psychologist.

· At least 12 months of relevant work experience in psychology, counselling, mental health, behavioural assessment, therapeutic intervention or a closely related field.

· Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clinical notes and professional reports.

· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with clients from diverse backgrounds.

· Ability to work ethically, professionally and within applicable AHPRA and Psychology Board requirements.
