Full Job Description

Shape the future of Banyule’s youngest community members through quality early childhood education.

Make a meaningful difference in the early years of children’s lives by joining a supportive and passionate team. In this role, you’ll deliver a high-quality, innovative education and care program for children from birth to 6 years, aligned with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and National Quality Standards. You’ll work in a collaborative environment that values best practice, safety and continuous improvement, with the added benefit of a monthly RDO to support your work-life balance.

As an Early Childhood Educator, you’ll deliver a high-quality, innovative educational program that meets the individual needs of children from birth to six years, while working in a supportive and collaborative team environment. You’ll help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive space where children can learn, grow, and thrive, with programs aligned with the Early Childhood Services Philosophy.

What you will do:

Deliver safe, high-quality care and education for children from birth to six years
Support the planning and delivery of educational programs tailored to children’s individual needs
Build positive and respectful relationships with children and families, supporting their daily experiences
Actively supervise children and maintain a safe, secure and inclusive environment
Work collaboratively with the team to support quality practice, policies and continuous improvement

What you'll bring/what we are looking for

Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an equivalent qualification
Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework
Ability to maintain clear written records and contribute to documentation relating to children’s learning and development
Strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks
Understanding of mandatory reporting requirements and awareness of the diverse cultural needs of families

Pre-employment requirements

CPR / First Aid
Level 2 First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates
Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) (Previously known as a police check)
Current Working with Children’s Check

We offer:

A fixed-term, full-time role with a monthly Rostered Day Off (RDO)
Parental leave cover to 16 May 2027
Salary range $70,306.14 - $73.767.30 per annum plus super (dependent on experience)
