As a key member of the Beerenberg kitchen team, you’ll bring flavour, creativity, and calm precision to every service in our fully operational, full service, fastmoving kitchen helping our iconic South Australian brand shine, plate after plate. You’ll bring flavour to life by consistently meeting (and whenever possible, exceeding) guest expectations, delivering cuisine that keeps Beerenberg proudly recognised for quality and consistency.
You’ll be the glue that keeps service smooth, teaming up with front and back of house through open communication, taking direction with ease, and adding your own spark to a kitchen where trust, good vibes, and great food thrive.
You’ll champion toptier food standards, ensuring preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques align with Beerenberg’s brand guidelines, and stepping in to help the Head Chef or Sous Chef when needed.
You’ll set the benchmark for cleanliness, maintaining impeccable hygiene and food safety practices, because excellence starts with a clean bench.
You’ll be the organiser who keeps kitchen flow seamless, juggling ingredients, deliveries, and storage with sharp planning and calm precision.
You’ll prioritise safety and care, using safe work habits, reporting hazards before they become headaches, and treating equipment with the respect it deserves, because a safe kitchen is a happy kitchen.

Now, for your own ingredients list. You’ll be the right person for this role if you:

Pair your Food & Beverage qualifications, RSA, and proven kitchen experience together with strong Quality, Risk, and WHS knowledge, demonstrating mastery of both compliance and craft.
Are an experienced Chef/Cook with commercial, homestyle cooking skills and a genuine passion for great food, flavour, and all things Beerenberg.
Think laterally and creatively, offering fresh ideas, clever fixes and strategic solutions, while also keeping tasks on track with strong attention to detail and finishing skills.
Communicate with ease, using polished written, verbal and interpersonal skills to connect across teams, suppliers, customers, and everyone in between.
Build strong relationships with ease, you’re peoplepositive, motivated, handson, and always ready to jump in wherever needed with great energy and a cando attitude.
Stay calm under pressure with the resilience to bounce back quickly, helping others view challenges as opportunities rather than setbacks.
Know your way around MS Office and PCbased systems and bring the organisational smarts to analyse information and present it clearly.
Are ready to work across a 7day roster, including weekends and public holidays, while enjoying the perk of no evening work. We have two opportunities available: one offering 20-30 hrs/wk and another with up to 38 hrs/wk.
