Expression Of Interest – Freight Officers / Forklift Operators

Location: Perth Airport

About the Role:

As a Freight Officer, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient handling and receipt of freight, with responsibilities that include loading, unloading, and securing general freight of all sizes.

If you’re passionate about logistics and thrive in a challenging yet rewarding workplace, we invite you to consider joining our dedicated team at Centurion Transport.

Key Responsibilities/Licences:

Operating various sized counterbalance forklifts (2.5T, 7T and 16T)
Processing various types of general freight from beginning to end (palletised, ugly and oversize)
Secure and restrain all loads as per the load restraint guide, with ratchet straps, chains and binders
Ensuring all scanning is accurate and complete for freight in the received, loaded, staged and unloaded functions
Preparation of outgoing freight ensuring that goods are secured and packed correctly for dispatch
RF Scanner Experience

Skills and Experience:

Current Forklift Licence (LF) and experience
Experience with general ugly/oversize freight
Previous Yard Hand Experience
Expert in load restraints using ratchet straps, chains and binders
Experience with RF Scanners highly desirable
