The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our growing Melbourne team. Reporting to Estimating Manager, you will play a key role in preparing accurate tenders and cost plans across a diverse pipeline of major projects across Victoria, spanning sectors including commercial, residential, health, education and social infrastructure.
This is an opportunity to work closely with experienced delivery and pre construction teams, gaining exposure across the full tender lifecycle from early subcontractor engagement through to final submission and project handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate tenders, estimates and cost plans across a range of building projects
- Assist with subcontractor and supplier pricing, scope reviews and package comparisons
- Support tender close processes, including commercial reviews and pricing submissions
- Identify commercial, programme and delivery risks within bids
- Conduct site visits and assist with buildability and methodology reviews
- Work collaboratively with design, engineering, construction and procurement teams
- Maintain and update estimating databases, benchmarks and pricing schedules
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across estimating systems and processes
About You
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or similar
- Previous experience as an Estimator within a head contractor environment
- Exposure across cost planning, tendering and commercial analysis
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work across multiple tenders simultaneously
- High level proficiency in Excel and estimating software
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders
- A proactive and collaborative approach with a willingness to continue developing technically
