Music Therapist - Bring Healing Through Sound at SA Health

About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Music Therapist, this role is responsible for working within the multidisciplinary team providing music therapy to clients to maintain and improve function and well-being whilst awaiting long term disability services.
Duties for the role will include:
- Contribute to quality service delivery and consumer driven care through a comprehensive Music Therapy program,
- Designing intervention services to meet these needs,
- Planning and implementing intervention programs,
- Monitoring and evaluating the progress and outcomes of interventions,
- Responding appropriately to consumer feedback,
- Participating in team meetings and case conferences,
- Contributing to the planning and service development for Music Therapy services in conjunction with the Service Manager and relevant Allied Health Lead,
- Participating in and supporting the development of relevant research activities
About you:
- Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification in music therapy. Eligible for membership of the Australian Music Therapy Association,
- Demonstrated ability to undertake assessment and intervention with clients with a range of illness and disabilities relevant to older people, acute care and rehabilitation,
- Demonstrated ability to provide clinical services as a member of a multidisciplinary team,
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with clients and a range of professional and other staff, orally and in writing, including in the provision of supervision to Allied Health Assistants and volunteers as required,
- Experience and clinical expertise in the provision of clinical Music Therapy services (assessment and treatment) to clients with a range of disorders and disabilities resulting from medical, surgical or neurological conditions including acquired brain injury and dementia,
- Demonstrated experience in planning and reviewing clinical services, and participation in quality and research activities
