Full Job Description

Desktop Support Engineer - Sydney, Australia

We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join our growing team and play a vital role in supporting enterprise IT operations. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, professional environment where your expertise will directly impact business continuity and user productivity

Working as a Desktop Support Engineer, you will deliver high-quality, end-user IT support to ensure the smooth operation of desktop systems, devices, and business applications. This role focuses on diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and basic network issues in a timely manner, minimizing downtime and enhancing user productivity.

Location & Schedule
This is an on-site role based in New South Wales, Australia, working Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, troubleshoot, and repair desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues (LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi).
Basic network support skills include understanding IP addressing, DNS, networking protocols, and the OSI model, as well as configuring network devices and troubleshooting wired and wireless connectivity issues using diagnostic tools.
Troubleshoot within Windows / iOS / Android OS support, software installations, and security updates.
Manage Active Directory tasks.

What will you bring to ESP?

3+ years of experience providing IT infrastructure support, including hardware, software, and operating system troubleshooting
Good command of Windows O/S
Microsoft Office 365 troubleshooting experience
Wireless networking knowledge
Understanding of network protocols, server hardware and configurations
Experience with Active Directory
Advantage: Basic knowledge of LAN-WAN setups and concepts
Must be open to work in a fixed term contract
