Mater Mothers’ Hospital is seeking passionate and dedicated Registered / Clinical Midwives to join our exceptional team. We welcome expressions of interest for permanent full-time, part-time, and temporary (short- and long-term) opportunities across a variety of our midwifery services.

As one of the busiest and most respected maternity hospitals in the country, supporting the birth of close to 12,000 babies every year. Mater Mothers’ Hospital is renowned for delivering high-quality, compassionate, family-centred care. From normal, low-risk pregnancies to complex obstetric and medical care, our teams provide outstanding support to women and families across Queensland and beyond.

Salary range Registered Midwife: $41.74 - $53.53 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!

Salary range Clinical Midwife: $54.45 - $58.30 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!

We are currently seeking midwives for roles across the following areas:

Antenatal Inpatient Unit
Birth Suites
Postnatal Units
Midwifery Group Practice

Maintaining current knowledge and engaging in ongoing professional development

About You

You are a compassionate and committed midwife who thrives in a supportive, professional, multidisciplinary environment. Your passion for providing exceptional care, strong communication skills, and ability to build positive relationships will ensure you deliver a consistently high standard of service to mothers, babies, and families.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

Current Midwifery registration with AHPRA
The ability to role model and uphold the Mater values
Experience or a strong interest in providing care within one of the service areas listed above
