Play an important role in strengthening technology risk and controls in a critical national institution

About the business/role/team

As part of the Reserve Bank of Australia’s Internal Audit Department, the IS Audit team provides independent assurance over the Bank’s technology environment, including systems, cyber security and IT controls.

You will report to the Portfolio Manager, IS Audit, and work within a specialist team that sits within the broader Audit function. The team partners closely with business and technology stakeholders across the Bank to assess risk, strengthen governance, and support continuous improvement.

In this role, you will collaborate with audit colleagues and subject matter experts while contributing to the delivery of the Bank’s audit plan.

About the role

Participate in a full range of technology audit engagements, including IT general controls, cyber security, identity and access management, and emerging technology risk
Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of governance, risk management and control processes
Contribute to project and advisory reviews across the technology and business landscape
Leverage data analytics and audit tools to enhance audit insights and efficiency
Collaborate with stakeholders across the Bank to provide practical, risk-based recommendations

About you

Experience in technology or information systems audit, preferably within financial services
Strong understanding of IT general controls and control frameworks
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem solving capability
Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Relevant tertiary qualification with CISA or similar certification desirable
