EmpowerU is on the lookout for dedicated support workers in the Central Coast area to assist two participants currently residing in Halekulani. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about upholding the rights of people with disabilities and supporting them to live lives filled with dignity, independence, and joy.

Requirements:

Applicants must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in Mental Health.

EmpowerU is a values-driven organisation registered with the NDIS, dedicated to delivering tailored support services to individuals with disabilities. Our mission is to empower individuals with disabilities to live life on their terms, embracing their choices and preferences.

This presents an exciting opportunity to join our EmpowerU team, where we strive to ensure that individuals with disabilities can experience the highest quality of life possible. Supporting individuals with disabilities involves assisting them in achieving their goals, nurturing their abilities, fostering independence, and facilitating full participation within the community.

About the Role:

We provide support to children, youth, families, individuals with disabilities, and those with mental health conditions. Our EmpowerU Support teams are centered around co-production, supporting individuals in making decisions regarding their lives and well-being.

Support services may include:

Facilitating skill development, such as budgeting, using public transportation, employing assistive technology, or meal preparation.
Supporting participation in social activities, recreational pursuits, and community engagements.
Offering companionship, meaningful conversation, and emotional support.
Assisting with personal care tasks like dressing, eating, bathing, toileting, or mobility.
Providing transportation for appointments.
Offering domestic aid, including housekeeping, shopping, laundry, or running errands.
