Full Job Description

Canberra BMW, part of the award-winning, family-owned Jowett Motor Group, is looking for an experienced Workshop Motorard Technician who knows how to perform routine motorcycle repairs, services and maintenance on motorcycles as required by manufacturer standards and as per customers’ requests.

If you’re confident working in a fast-paced motorcycle workshop, diagnosing and repairing motorcycles to a high standard, and taking pride in quality workmanship and teamwork, we want to hear from you.

About the role

As a Motorcycle Technician, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end servicing and repairs, playing a key role in delivering high-quality workmanship and reliable outcomes for our customers.

Key responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repair on customer motorcycles.
Identify problems using the diagnostic equipment.
Explain motorcycle repairs and issues and provide great customer service.
Plan repair procedures using charts, manuals and experience.
Test the functionality of parts and systems.
Perform routine maintenance and general mechanic work.

About you

You’ll bring:

Graduated from a certificate or diploma level in Light Vehicle Mechanical technology.
Proven experience in fault finding using diagnostic knowledge and initiative.
Ability to use the diagnostic equipment.
Good hand-eye coordination.
A positive attitude and enthusiasm for motorcycles.
Strong people skills and solid computer literacy.
A valid motorcycle license.
A team player who thrives in a fast-paced workshop.
A commitment to excellent customer service and attention to detail.

Jowett Motor Group was born from the experience and forethought of Tony Jowett in 1995 with brands Audi, Volkswagen and Subaru, before opening Eastern Honda Doncaster in 2000 which remains today.
