We are seeking a highly capable and proactive Executive Assistant to partner closely with our Managing Director and support the effectiveness of our leadership team.

This is a pivotal role at the centre of Guardian Australia, suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, exercises sound judgement and discretion, and enjoys building strong relationships across a dynamic and values-led organisation.

As Executive Assistant to the Managing Director, you will provide high-level executive support, leadership coordination and operational management across key business priorities.

This role is being offered on a permanent, full-time basis, and is open to candidates based in either Sydney or Melbourne.

In this role you will…

Partner closely with the Managing Director to manage priorities, schedules and day-to-day leadership operations
Coordinate complex calendars, meetings, travel, communications and executive administration
Support Senior Management Team coordination, including meeting preparation, actions and follow-up
Project manage leadership initiatives and collaborate with teams across Guardian Australia and the UK
Prepare presentations, reports and briefing materials to support leadership decision-making
Coordinate stakeholder meetings, leadership events and business engagements
Support selected operational, commercial and reporting processes across the business
Build strong working relationships across editorial, commercial and operational teams

Significant experience supporting senior executives within a fast-paced environment
Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
Strong judgement, professionalism and discretion
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability
A proactive, solutions-focused and collaborative approach
Strong proficiency across Google Workspace and presentation tools
Experience coordinating projects, stakeholders and executive workflows
