About the role

The Administration Officer (Grade 1), Surgical Specialist Clinics is responsible for the delivery of consumer-focused administrative support that ensures equity of access throughout the patients Journey within Surgical Specialist clinics

Key Responsibilities

Deliver professional reception and customer service support to patients, carers, staff, and referrers.
Manage appointments, referrals, bookings, and patient information using the iPM Patient Administration System.
Coordinate with GPs, specialists, interpreters, and diagnostic providers to support efficient clinic operations.
Provide accurate administrative support while maintaining compliance with Barwon Health policies and confidentiality requirements.

What we’re looking for

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Demonstrated high-level customer service skills, computer literacy, and confidence using health technologies and systems.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with a positive, motivated, and flexible approach to work.
Ability to adapt to a variety of administrative duties and work rostered shifts to support operational needs.
