About the role

We’re looking for a Commercial Data Analyst to join our team and play a key role in strengthening our data governance, reporting, and analytics capabilities. In this role, you’ll sit at the intersection of business and data, working closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality insights, improve data integrity, and support smarter decision-making across the organisation.

Reporting to the Data Governance Manager, you will contribute to the development and continuous improvement of data management and governance practices while delivering high-quality reporting and analytics that support commercial strategy.

You’ll also:

Support the development and uplift of the Commercial Data Management & Governance framework
Analyse, model, test and validate data to ensure quality and accuracy
Build and maintain dashboards (Power BI) to track KPIs and data health
Identify opportunities to automate reporting and data quality processes
Enhance data quality reporting and drive remediation activities
Collaborate with business units to resolve data issues and refine reporting outputs
Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Escalate risks and data issues where required
Educate stakeholders on data tools, dashboards, and governance practices

About you and your skills

You’re a naturally curious and detail-focused data professional who enjoys solving complex problems and partnering with the business to deliver impactful insights. You’re equally comfortable diving deep into data and explaining findings to non-technical audiences, taking pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work.

You’ll also ideally have:

Relevant tertiary qualification in data, analytics, or technology
Experience working with retail or commercial data highly regarded
Proven experience in data management, governance, or analytics roles
Strong technical capability in SQL and Power BI (or similar visualisation tools)
Experience with data ingestion, profiling, modelling and reporting
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot data issues and implement solutions
Solid understanding of data quality principles and governance practices
Advanced skills in Excel
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities effectively
A positive, inquisitive mindset with a desire to continuously learn
