The opportunity
We are currently looking for an experienced Shutdown Planner to join the maintenance team at our Duketon operation. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will provide effective shutdown planning and scheduling for all the activities for tradesperson / technicians (including contractors) and ancillary personnel, within the process plant shutdowns
This is a FIFO role (8:6 roster) from Perth.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
Develop and participate in planning and scheduling of preventative and corrective maintenance activities inclusive of short term and shutdown activities
Ensure compliance to the 12-week major shutdown life cycle process
Provide expert technical knowledge regarding mechanical maintenance standards on day-to-day tasks, projects and shutdowns
Participate in the development of strategies for mechanical maintenance activities
Prepare scopes of work, including technical specifications and review vendor documentation
Participate in vendor selection and evaluation of submissions for scope/contract award with consideration for safety, cost and quality
Develop work packs for scopes to be executed and ensure effective integration with operations
Participate in initiatives to improve performance of equipment or maintenance procedures/systems
Proactively monitor, measure, communicate and report objectives, issues, opportunities, risks, technical deviations and achievements in area of responsibility
Coordinate timely proposals, to relevant stakeholders, for mitigation strategies as required.
Ensure costs are minimised by constantly reviewing maintenance practices and identifying areas for improving efficiencies and productivity
Ensure all rotables items are returned to the warehouse ASAP for sending off site for refurbishment
Ensure all work packs are reviewed with history captured and closed out in ERP
Complete post shutdown reports for processing SLT
Skills and Experiences:
About you
To be successful for this role, you will have:
Relevant Mechanical Trade or Mechanical Engineering qualifications are advantageous
Demonstrated planning experience with Shutdowns in a fixed plant environment
Experience in Maintenance master data Pronto or similar highly regarded
Competent user of MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel and Teams
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills at all levels
Ability to define accurate work scopes and develop procedures
