BluBiz is at the cusp of exponential growth. Anyone who joins us will have the opportunity to work with leading-edge technologies, express their ideas, be empowered to make a genuine difference, and shape their own career path.
Who You are
You take genuine pride in keeping things running, and in running them well. You are meticulous, proactive, and you care about quality at every level. When something needs to be documented, you do it properly. When a customer has a problem, you own it until it is resolved. You can explain a technical issue clearly to a non-technical stakeholder without making them feel out of their depth. You work well under pressure, bring calm and methodical thinking to complex situations, and you understand that 'good enough' is never good enough when a client's business depends on your work.
The Role
As a Network Administrator at BluBiz, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, configuration, monitoring, and support of network infrastructure across a diverse portfolio of clients. You will work within our NOC and engineering teams, providing hands-on support across Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki, and other vendor platforms. This is a role that demands technical depth, operational discipline, and the ability to communicate clearly with clients, because at BluBiz, technical excellence and customer experience go hand in hand.

- Maintain accurate, up-to-date technical documentation including network diagrams, configuration records, and change logs
- Liaise with customers to communicate issue status, planned maintenance, and proactive network health updates in a clear and professional manner
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, identify risks, recommend solutions, and contribute to BluBiz's service quality standards
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on network administration experience, ideally within an MSP or managed services environment
- Proven experience managing Cisco switching and routing (IOS/NX-OS) and Fortinet or Palo Alto firewalls in production environments
- Experience with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL, SD-WAN) and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management platforms (SolarWinds, PRTG, ManageEngine, or similar)
- Experience in customer-facing technical support with the ability to communicate effectively under pressure
Key Skills
- Hands-on proficiency with Cisco (switches, routers, Catalyst), Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager), and Meraki platforms
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, firewall policies, NAT, and QoS
- Working knowledge of network security principles, NGFW, IDS/IPS, network segmentation, zero-trust fundamentals
- Disciplined approach to change management, documentation, and incident management processes
- Clear, professional communication, ability to explain technical issues to non-technical clients without condescension
- Ability to prioritise effectively across multiple client environments and work calmly under time pressure
- Collaborative team player with a genuine commitment to customer outcomes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related discipline; candidates with an Associate Diploma or equivalent, combined with strong industry experience, are equally welcome
