ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Digital Content Producer is a hands-on digital content production specialist responsible for researching and leading the production of innovative, multiplatform digital content that engages audiences across online, onsite and offsite channels. Working within Museums Victoria's content commissioning framework, the role produces compelling video, audio and written content that supports the One Digital Life strategy, extends Museums Victoria's reach and drives audience engagement across digital platforms and onsite visitation. Working collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation, the role ensures content aligns with Museums Victoria standards, editorial guidelines and audience behaviours.
Some of the key duties include:
- Develop engaging audience-focused digital content that tells Museums Victoria's stories in fresh and innovative ways.
- Research, script, film, direct, edit and publish video and audio content in line with Museums Victoria brand and editorial guidelines.
- Write and edit copy for digital platforms and multimedia content.
- Coordinate multiple concurrent digital content projects with internal and external stakeholders to deliver assets on time.
- Collaborate with Programs, Education, Marketing, Audience Insights and Communications teams to create engaging content for social media and other channels.
The successful applicant will have:
- Demonstrated experience in multiplatform digital content production, including the ability to identify and develop audience-focused stories.
- Strong technical production skills across filming, lighting, sound recording, directing and editing, including experience using Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Proven project and production management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with experience working collaboratively across teams.
- Knowledge of digital publishing workflows, multimedia formats and platform standards, with the ability to guide stakeholders through production processes.
OTHER INFORMATION
This is a Full time, Fixed Term position for two years. The salary on offer is a VPS3.2 Base salary of $91,971 per annum (pro rata) plus 12% superannuation.
The successful applicant is required to undergo a National Police Records Check and Working with Children Check and be assessed as suitable (new employees are required to meet this cost).
