Your New Role

As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in driving high-quality analysis and providing strategic advice across complex initiatives. You’ll partner closely with business and technology stakeholders to define problems, design solutions, and ensure outcomes are aligned to member and organisational priorities.

You’ll be part of the Analysis, Design, Process & Business Testing Practice, a specialist capability that supports Value Streams by setting standards, sharing expertise, and lifting delivery quality across Aware Super. To be successful in this role the requirement of prior experience in Superannuation and/or demonstrated experience working with external financial planners as a Senior Business Analyst.

Some responsibilities include:

Planning and executing the business analysis approach for initiatives of varying scale;
Eliciting, analysing, validating and managing requirements (HLRs, BRDs, user stories);
Creating cross‑functional process flows, impact and gap analyses;
Managing requirements traceability across delivery and testing; and
Managing interdependencies, risks and issues across initiatives

How do you exceed our expectations?

Prior experience in Superannuation and/or demonstrated experience working with external financial planners as a Senior Business Analyst;
Strong experience across both agile and waterfall environments;
Deep knowledge of business analysis best-practice frameworks (e.g. BABOK, UML, business architecture);
Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence and Miro;
Proven ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders;
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills;
Experience mentoring or supporting other Business Analysts (highly regarded);
You are balanced in accepting risk in any decision you face. You are curious to understand risk context and choose to speak up as we simplify, learn and grow.
