We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Fleet Support Services Team Leader to join our team based at our Dandenong Workshop. Reporting to the Regional Workshop Manager, this role is responsible for leading the Fleet Support team and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of yard and fleet support activities.
While this position is primarily based at Dandenong Workshop, the successful applicant must be flexible and willing to travel to other Ventura depots as operational requirements require.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines people management, rostering, fleet coordination, and operational support to ensure vehicles are prepared, maintained, and presented to the highest standard for service delivery.

- Optional weekend work available as required
About the Role
The Fleet Support Services Team Leader will assist the Regional Workshop Manager in providing yard activity and fleet preparation support to the Operations Team. The role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of depot yard activities, including pre-trip inspections, refuelling, vehicle preparation, depot presentation, and compliance with health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, coach and mentor Fleet Support personnel.
- Coordinate and manage staff rosters and workforce planning.
- Coordinate Fleet Support activities and liaise closely with Operations and Workshop teams.
- Assist with fleet preparation to ensure vehicles are safe, clean and ready for service.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and complete required compliance documentation.
- Inspect oil, coolant, water and tyre condition and report defects using company reporting tools.
- Coordinate and participate in vehicle refuelling activities and safe yard movements.
- Ensure buses are externally washed, internally cleaned and presented to Ventura standards.
- Coordinate vehicle deliveries, pick-ups and changeovers.
- Assist with bus parking and other depot driving duties.
- Support depot housekeeping, yard maintenance, opening and closing procedures and general depot operations.
- Maintain a safe work environment and promote a strong safety culture.
Essential Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Current Medium Rigid (MR) Licence or higher
- Previous experience leading, supervising or managing a team.
- Demonstrated experience preparing and managing employee rosters.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong administrative and organisational capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
- High regard for workplace safety and compliance.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
- Flexibility to travel between Ventura depots when required.
- Self-motivated with a strong customer service focus.
