Western Truck Repairs is a well-established name in the heavy vehicle smash repair industry and part of the AMA Group – Heavy Motors division. We provide a full range of services, from minor repairs to complete, hand-finished rebuilds, delivering quality workmanship across every job.
Located conveniently near Melbourne’s Ring Road and Westgate Bridge, our site is a busy, professional workshop where skilled tradespeople, including panel beaters, mechanics, fabricators, spray painters, and electricians, work together as one team. We pride ourselves on a strong, positive culture and are continuing to grow.
Are you a 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Panel Beater looking to take the next step in your career?
This is a fantastic opportunity to continue building your skills on a wide variety of heavy vehicles while learning from highly experienced tradespeople. You'll gain hands-on experience with industry-leading equipment and become part of a supportive team that is invested in your development.
As part of our team, you'll:

Assist with repairing and replacing damaged panels and body components on trucks, buses, and trailers

Learn and apply welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques

Disassemble and reassemble vehicles in line with repair plans
-
Check, label, and organise vehicle parts throughout the repair process

Assist with fitting new components and carrying out quality repairs
-
Work alongside qualified tradespeople to further develop your skills and knowledge

Currently completing your 2nd or 3rd year apprenticeship in Panel Beating

A genuine passion for the automotive and heavy vehicle repair industry

Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Reliable, punctual, and committed to completing your trade qualification

Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team environment
