Mantra Sun City, located in the heart of Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast and within walking distance from the light rail. The property offers a range of accommodation options from hotel style rooms to apartments and penthouses. With sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean or the neighbouring Hinterland, lagoon-style pool, dining at the 100 seated Koastal Kitchen Restaurant or experiencing a special event on site, this property caters for a wide range of travellers. The Gold Coast offers so much to explore during your down time. Surf or swim the waves across a range of famous beaches, enjoy endless restaurant options, shopping meccas, music festivals and major theme parks just to name a few.

Purpose
As the Breakfast Cook, you play a crucial part in ensuring our guests enjoy the most important meal of the day! When they wake up, they can count on you to create delicious breakfasts that provide them with the energy they need to kick-start their day.

Primary Responsibilities

Ensuring that food presented to guests aligns with property standards and is served within designated timeframes, whilst maintaining high quality and presentation
Stay diligent in adhering to local regulations related to health, safety, and compliance, with a solid grasp of HACCP management
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in preparing food items
Receive ongoing training and guidance from senior chefs
Handle a range of kitchen tasks, from dishwashing to crafting delectable dishes

Skills & Experience

Previous cookery skills in a commercial kitchen and a passion to pursue a culinary career
Being open to feedback and willing to experiment with new ideas is a big plus
Thriving in a fast-paced team environment is key
The ability to communicate in a clear and articulate manner
Reliable transport and available for early morning starts and assist across a range of shifts including weekends and public holidays as required
