As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in designing, optimising, and supporting our enterprise technology environment, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365 Modern Workplace solutions, Azure, Infrastructure, Security, Identity Management, End User Computing, Collaboration Platforms, and Automation. You will lead complex initiatives, drive innovation, mentor team members, and deliver secure, scalable solutions that improve collaboration, productivity, employee experience, and digital workplace outcomes across the region.
What Will be Involved
Technical Leadership
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting across infrastructure, security, networking, cloud, and end-user platforms.
- Lead root cause analysis and permanent resolution of recurring issues while developing technical standards, policies, and operating procedures.
- Act as the final technical escalation point for complex internal IT issues.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to Level 1 and Level 2 technical staff.
Infrastructure & Cloud Management
- Lead the administration, optimisation, and continuous improvement of Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, ensuring a secure and productive digital workplace experience.
- Manage virtualisation platforms, Windows Server and associated services, maintain Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Oversee backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity capabilities.
- Own endpoint management platforms including Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot, covering device provisioning, application deployment, compliance policies, and lifecycle management.
- Drive Modern Workplace initiatives focused on employee productivity, mobility, self-service capabilities, workplace automation and user experience improvements.
Cyber Security
- Support ISO 27001 and security compliance initiatives.
- Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents while maintaining security controls and hardening standards.
- Manage vulnerability remediation activities while participating in security audits and risk assessments.
- Support governance activities relating to privileged access management and identity security.
Project Delivery
- Lead Modern Workplace projects including Intune deployments, collaboration platform enhancements, security uplift initiatives, Microsoft 365 optimisation activities and digital workplace transformation programs. Lead technical implementation projects from planning through to completion.
- Produce technical designs and implementation documentation.
- Coordinate infrastructure upgrades, device refresh programs, workplace technology enhancements, and Microsoft 365 transformation initiatives.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and business integration activities while providing technical input into business improvement initiatives.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure all work is documented and aligned to ITIL principles while maintaining accurate configuration and asset records.
- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
- Contribute to service improvement plans.
- Participate in major incident management and post-incident reviews.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
- Escalate support issues with Microsoft and third-party vendors.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver outcomes.
- Provide technical recommendations and risk assessments to management.
What You Will Need
- Minimum 10+ years' experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure, Cloud Operations, or Modern Workplace technologies.
- Advanced experience designing, administering and optimising Microsoft 365 Modern Workplace and Microsoft Azure environments.
- Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Endpoint Management, device compliance, application deployment, and modern device lifecycle management.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Purview administration and governance.
- Windows Server administration with Entra ID / Active Directory.
- Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and ThreatLocker.
- PowerShell scripting, automation, and process improvement, along with enterprise networking fundamentals.
- Strong knowledge of security technologies, including MFA, Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender, and the broader Microsoft Security Stack.
- Advanced troubleshooting capability with systems architecture and design, combined with a security-first mindset.
- Strong documentation and governance discipline.
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and mentor without direct authority.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High levels of accountability, ownership, and initiative.
- Sound decision-making skills in complex and high-pressure environments.
- Desirable Skills
- VMware or Hyper-V.
- ISO 27001 experience.
- Merger and acquisition integration experience.
- ITIL framework knowledge and service management best practices.
