The Acoustics team works on a variety of projects to manage noise and vibration impacts on the environment and the community. Projects that we work on include: Assessing noise from renewable energy developments (wind farms and battery energy storage), mitigating noise and vibration from rail, mitigating noise impacts from road, designing performing arts and culture venues, controlling noise and vibration impacts in healthcare, designing buildings and offices and assisting in developing noise policy.
We work collaboratively with other designers and engineers to help deliver projects across Australia and the APAC region. Arup provides the opportunity to work on some truly city shaping projects.
Is this role right for you?
We're looking for Graduates or soon to be Graduates who are currently pursuing a degree in, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, acoustics or equivalent qualification. Exposure to Acoustics, Dynamics, Vibration through your university course is beneficial. But not required. Significant technical training and support will be provided to you, from both the local acoustics team and the wider regional acoustics team.

Eligibility:
To be considered for a graduate opportunity your application must include a copy of your academic transcript and meet the following criteria:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree level qualification in Acoustics / AAVT; Mechanical Engineering; Electrical Engineering or Physics
- Full working rights in the country of application
- No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role
- Recently graduated, or on track to graduate, from your most recent degree before employment starts
