Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) in Queensland is the largest independent and most experienced construction consultancy, specialising in cost management and advisory services. With more than 90 people across five Queensland offices, we have the right people in the right places to deliver outstanding project outcomes.

As Oceania’s largest independent construction consultancy, RLB partners with local government, developers, project managers, architects and financiers on some of the most significant and exciting projects in Australia. Our Brisbane office is expanding, and we are seeking talented Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors to join our growing team.

The opportunity

As a Quantity Surveyor at RLB, you will be responsible for delivering both pre- and post-contract estimating and cost management services. Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing project estimates across various phases
Cost control, including planning, forecasting and estimation
Value management associated with mechanical services
Benchmarking analysis associated with mechanical services
Providing post-contract services, including assessment of progress claims and variations

About you

RICS or AIQS membership
Professional qualifications in engineering, quantity surveying, construction economics or property-related fields
5+ years of demonstrated experience in estimating for construction projects
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a project team
Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain working relationships
Permanent working rights in Australia
