The Opportunity – Help build places people love to live.
Join us in shaping the next evolution of defect and warranty management across our built form portfolio. This newly created role offers a genuine opportunity to establish and lead a new team, building a best-in-class approach that further enhances the customer experience across Apartments, Land Lease and Master Planned Communities. Based in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne, this role offers flexible hybrid working—3 days in the office or on-site and 2 days from home.

We’re Looking For a...
A technically strong Defects & Warranty Manager who can uplift existing processes, define standards, and build capability across a growing national portfolio, will driving positive and consistent customer outcomes.

What You’ll Do

You’ll lead the uplift of Stockland’s defect and warranty function across built form, playing a key role in shaping how we deliver quality outcomes for our customers.

Establish and lead a centralised defects and warranty team across Apartments, Land Lease and Master Planned Communities
Act as a central technical authority on residential defects, providing expert guidance on defect classification, standards, and resolution pathways and acting as a point of escalation for complex warranty matters
Define and implement best practice processes, standards and governance across the lifecycle
Build and lead a high-performing team to support delivery and drive consistency
Partner with Development, Project Management and Customer teams to embed quality and continuous improvement
Identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities to enhance customer outcomes and operational efficiency

About You

You’re passionate about delivering quality outcomes and creating a seamless customer experience. You have a strong working knowledge of applicable building standards, tolerances and statutory requirements, with the ability to apply these in defect determination and dispute resolution.

You thrive in roles where you can bring structure, uplift capability, and influence change, while building on what’s already working well.

Experience & Skills That Count

Experience leading or building high-performing teams
Strong technical expertise in defects and warranty management
Demonstrated commitment to driving positive customer outcomes
Proven experience handling complex customer escalations
Experience across residential developments (apartments, land lease or master planned communities)
Proven ability to establish or uplift processes, frameworks and standards
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and customer service skills
