Full Job Description

Retail Manager | Mascot

East Coast Car Rentals are a hugely successful company with 11 busy Airport locations and 3 city locations. We are one of the most successful independent car rental retailers in Australia!

We are seeking to recruit a Retail Manager to join our busy & growing branch in Sydney, where your priority is to provide exceptional customer service while leading your team and driving overall branch performance.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the daily flow of customers, including smooth shuttle operations, vehicle readiness, compliance, and efficient branch operations
Manage product range, inventory levels, and service standards to optimise operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
Develop and implement purchasing and marketing strategies, including pricing decisions aligned with business objectives
Coordinate and execute promotional and advertising initiatives to drive awareness and increase sales
Drive revenue by actively selling products and services, while mentoring and coaching staff in effective sales techniques
Deliver exceptional customer service by providing guidance and advice on product and service offerings
Monitor and continuously improve staff performance in sales and customer service delivery
Manage all staff on site, including rostering, reporting, and resolving operational issues
Lead recruitment, training, and ongoing supervision of staff to build a high-performing team
Address customer enquiries, issues, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory, vehicle availability, and financial transactions
Undertake budgeting responsibilities to support financial performance and cost control
Ensure high standards of presentation across staff, office, shuttle buses, and rental vehicles at all times
Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OH&S) regulations and company policies

About You

Previous retail or sales management experience with strong customer service skills and commercial acumen
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
Strong sales capability with experience coaching others to achieve targets
Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and time management skills
High level of personal presentation and professionalism
Self-motivated with a passion for people leadership and operational excellence
Full driver’s licence
A strong team player with a positive attitude
