Production Manager – Reid Stockfeeds (Gunbower)

Reid Stockfeeds is a leading, family‑owned stockfeed manufacturer, and we’re looking for an energetic Production Manager to lead and manage our Gunbower team. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll be on the production floor, working closely with teammates to ensure the smooth running of manufacturing and logistics in a dynamic environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Building, developing and working in with the team of millers and drivers to deliver a high quality feedstock product to customers the team
Overseeing scheduling to coordinate daily production and delivery priorities
Managing the site to a high standard and ensuring efficient and effective manufacturing and logistics processes
Maintaining strict compliance to Safety, Quality, and Feedsafe requirements without compromise
Continuously improving the work environment and processes to ensure risks are well managed
Solving problems quickly and effectively during mill breakdowns or other business disruptions, including working with maintenance team and other mills to keep things moving and customer expectations met
Providing comprehensive induction and training of the team
Communicating clearly across shifts and contributing to a strong team culture
Staying alert, adaptable, and ready to think on your feet

What You’ll Bring

Experience in stockfeed, milling, or food manufacturing (ideal but not essential)
Strong communication skills and a solution focused mindset
A hands‑on approach with high attention to detail
Forklift licence
Competent computer skills
Flexibility to work day and afternoon shifts
Reliability, positivity, and a genuine “can‑do” attitude
Can lead a team and support their development
