About the team
NSW Fair Trading is responsible for the administration of property and consumer protection laws in NSW. The Fair Trading Digital team works collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders to provide the best digital solutions for our customers.
The Digital Products & Services Team for Fair Trading creates, enhances & delivers digital solutions ensuring a trusted & secured end-to-end digital experience to support our internal & external customers. Our people and ways of working are organised around working collaboratively with key stakeholders to provide the best digital solutions for our NSW Fair Trading customers.
Primary purpose of the role
Contribute to the development, maintenance, testing, documentation and support of new and amended integration, software, web, and multi-media applications that facilitates the achievement of business outcomes and improves business efficiencies and processes through the leverage of technology to specified standards and procedures.
Key accountabilities:
- Undertake programming, testing, implementation and maintenance tasks that adhere to a software development life cycle methodology to meet service delivery outcomes
- Complete detailed documentation outlining the results of tests to inform the preparation of future application documentation and reduce the impact of application defects
- Prepare system specifications and carry out system testing in accordance with test strategies to ensure compliance
- Construct process and/or equipment recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of test programs
- Provide application support and assist with problem resolution to help minimise the impact of application related service outages to optimise service delivery
- Respond to customer feedback and insights and contribute to ongoing improvements to products and service delivery
About you:
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience as a Developer working within a project delivery team across multiple high priority streams of work.
- Power automate experience
- Business operations and systems analysis and mapping
- Stakeholder management experience
- Elicit and document requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Digital solution design and testing experience preferred
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
- Be accustomed to Agile ways of working, working collaboratively and contributing positively to the team
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and have a great attention to detail
- Ability to own issues and problem solve through to resolution
- Experience working with a project team to define, validate and document technical requirements that meet user stories
- Experience reviewing products prior to release to users, and a passion for delivering an exceptional user experience
- These will be key attributes to achieve successful business operations and performance during a period of change management and business improvement.
Salary Grade 5/6, with the base salary for this role starting at $99938 base plus superannuation
