About The Team
The University Secretary’s Office sits within the Vice Chancellor’s portfolio and is made up of a collaborative team of specialists across Governance Services, Legal, Records Management and Archives.
The team plays a central role in supporting the University, working in partnership with staff and the University Senate to provide trusted advice and expert guidance. Together, we help ensure strong governance, effective decision-making and compliance, while protecting the University’s interests.
Your New Role!
Join the University Secretary’s Office in a hands-on administrative role where you’ll play a key part in keeping daily operations running smoothly. You’ll provide high-quality, timely admin support and advice to a range of teams, helping to ensure efficient processes and excellent service delivery.
Your Key Responsibilities will include
Deliver proactive administrative support across the University Secretary’s Office, working closely with the Administrative Coordinator.
Manage and maintain the Legal Services database (Content Manager), ensuring accuracy, security and data integrity.
Be the first point of contact for legal enquiries, confidently guiding staff and external stakeholders through processes and assisting with documentation preparation.

This Fixed Term (12 Months) | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) parental leave coverage role attracts a remuneration of $73K – $89K (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you’ll bring to the role:
Degree or relevant diploma with at least two years’ experience, or equivalent combination of training and work experience.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and relevant systems), with excellent organisation and ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Good numeracy and analytical skills, including report preparation.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
