We are seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to support the effective delivery of project contract and commercial activities across both pre-contract and post-contract phases. Working closely with the Project Manager, Contracts Manager, engineers, and design teams, you will play a key role in administering contract packages, supporting tendering activities, and ensuring project commitments and milestones are achieved in accordance with company procedures.
About the Role
- Prepare, administer, and manage contract packages across pre- and post-contract phases.
- Draft RFT and RFP documentation and review tender pack documents.
- Facilitate prequalification and pre-tender compliance activities.
- Assist with Bill of Quantities (BOQ) establishment.
- Maintain contract schedules, tenderer registers, package registers, and tracker lists.
- Set up contract folders and support progress claims administration.
- Prepare and assess subcontract variations, progress claims, and commercial documentation.
- Update variation registers and ensure accurate contract data and reporting.
- Monitor and manage compliance requirements including insurances, mobilisation, management plans, and licences.
- Support small to medium contract negotiations where applicable.
- Contribute to scopes of work, contract conditions, and assist with contract dispute resolution.
- Liaise with engineers and design teams to monitor progress and support achievement of project milestones.
- Provide monthly contractual reporting updates and ongoing commercial support.
- Liaise with document control to ensure accurate record keeping and data integrity.
About You
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing small to medium construction or infrastructure contracts ($500M+ projects).
- Experience in contracts administration or commercial support within an EPCM or construction environment.
- Exposure to tender pack and contractual drafting, with familiarity in legal terms and conditions.
- Proven contract management experience including compliance, mobilisation, variations, and claims.
- Experience managing both head contracts and subcontracts (highly regarded).
- Tertiary qualification in business, engineering, quantity surveying, construction management, or similar.
- Quantity Surveying (QS) background desirable but not essential.
- Construction White Card required.
- Accurate with a high attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly effective written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and commercial teams.
