Our Customer Insights and Measurement team at Sonder is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help us build the next generation of wellbeing intelligence.
You will own the end-to-end journey of turning raw data into intelligent insights. On any given week, you might be building React-based dashboards, optimizing Snowflake transformations, or architecting multi-agent workflows that help our customers "talk" to their safety data.

- End-to-End Ownership: Build and maintain features from the database schema and Snowflake models through to the React UI.
- API Architecture: Design robust back-end services (Python/Node.js) that support data ingestion and high-concurrency reporting.
- Data Engineering Mastery: Design and optimize tables, views, and complex query workloads in Snowflake to keep compute overhead low and dashboard latency fast.
- Transformation: Build scalable, maintainable data transformation pipelines to establish an accurate, single source of truth for all reporting.
- Insight Automation: Leverage LLMs to transform complex workplace metrics into actionable executive summaries and power interactive agents for our B2B customers.
- AI Observability: Implement safeguards, validation checks, and error handling for AI-generated outputs to ensure reliability and safety in a sensitive domain.
- The "Builder" DNA: You are a heavy user of AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, Copilot) to accelerate your own engineering delivery.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and modern containerized CI/CD infrastructure (Docker).
- Full Stack Fluency: Deep production experience building frontend user interfaces with React and scalable backends with Python or Java.
- Data Engineering Literacy: Strong advanced SQL skills and architectural experience with cloud data warehousing (Snowflake) and transactional databases (RDS).
- Transformation Experience: Proven track record of orchestrating and optimizing data transformation layers using dbt.
- Production Mindset: A strong focus on writing highly tested, maintainable code with strict type-safety patterns (e.g., Pydantic or TypeScript). You know that "it worked on my machine" isn't enough.
- Familiarity with vector embeddings, semantic search, or basic Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks
