Position Profile: The Manager Activity Costing and Business Improvement leads, plans and manages the development, implementation and ongoing operation of the business improvement functions within an Activity Based Funding (ABF) and Activity Based Management (ABM) context. The role plays a leading role in financial, performance and activity analysis, and manages the collation, preparation, assurance and submission of activity and costing data to support internal reporting, statutory requirements, and external submissions to the Department of Health, the National Health Costing Data Collection and other national bodies.

In addition, the position has overarching accountability for the governance, quality and integrity of activity and costing data. The position provides leadership to a specialist team providing expert advice to senior stakeholders across WACHS and the broader health system.

Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
