We are dedicated to helping every student reach their potential through high-quality, personalised tutoring in Maths, English, and Science — from Kindergarten through to VCE. The opportunity

We are looking for one motivated and versatile individual to join our team in a combined Tutor and Administration Officer role. This is a permanent part-time position working 20 hours per week across our Doncaster, Templestowe, and St. Albans centres. It is an ideal opportunity for someone who loves working with students, is confident tutoring across a wide range of year levels, and is equally at home managing the day-to-day administrative needs of a busy education centre.

The ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese is preferred and will be highly regarded, as many of our students and families are from Chinese-speaking backgrounds. However, this is not a mandatory requirement.

Main required on campus schedule

Tuesday – Thursday (Doncaster & Templestowe)

3:30 pm – 7:00 pm

Saturday - St. Albans centre

8:15 am – 5:15 pm

Tutoring Main Responsibilities

Deliver engaging one-on-one and small group tutoring in Maths, English, and/or Science (Kinder–High School levels)
Develop and adapt lesson plans tailored to each student's individual learning needs and goals
Mark student homework and provide clear, constructive feedback
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and learning milestones

Administration Main Responsibilities

Manage front-of-house operations including reception, phone, and email enquiries
Coordinate student enrolments, attendance records, and billing across centres
Assist with scheduling, room bookings, and staff rostering
Liaise professionally with students, parents, tutors, and management
Prepare communications, reports, and general correspondence as required
Support accounts administration including invoicing and payment processing

What we're looking for

Relevant qualifications or demonstrated experience in Education, Maths, English, or Science
Current Working with Children Check (WWC) — or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
Proven ability to tutor across multiple year levels and subjects
Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and/or Google Workspace
Warm, professional communication and interpersonal skills with students, families, and colleagues
Self-motivated, reliable, and adaptable — comfortable moving between tutoring and admin responsibilities
Willingness and ability to travel across Doncaster, Templestowe, and St. Albans centres
Ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese is preferred and will be highly regarded

Pay: $28.00 – $31.00 per hour
