Blending strong project delivery skills with technical insight, you’ll navigate complex environments, manage risks, and guide smart design and delivery decisions. Working in a collaborative, agile setting, you’ll play a key role in ensuring initiatives are delivered with clarity, confidence and real business impact—aligned to security, regulatory and operational standards.
This is a 12-month fixed term contact based at our Sydney head office.
What you’ll do:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives—owning scope, planning and execution to achieve agreed business outcomes within budget, architecture and governance parameters.
- Develop and maintain clear delivery plans and artefacts, including roadmaps, status reporting and key project documentation.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Data, InfoSec, IT Operations, Product and the business, ensuring clarity on roles, dependencies and decision-making.
- Manage delivery across complex programs spanning data migrations, CRM enhancements, AI initiatives, digital products and system integrations.
- Proactively manage risks, issues and dependencies, driving timely escalation and resolution to keep delivery on track.
- Facilitate effective delivery rhythms (planning, stand-ups, showcases and retrospectives) to support high-performing, aligned teams.
- Oversee vendor and third-party delivery, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, commercial considerations and integration readiness.
- Ensure strong governance and operational readiness, including documentation, change control and smooth transition into support.
- Partner with Risk and InfoSec to ensure delivery meets security, regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Continuously improve delivery practices, introducing better ways of working, tools and scalable approaches.
About you
As a hands-on Technical Project Manager, you’ll bring a strong blend of delivery expertise and technical capability, including:
- 5+ years’ experience delivering technology initiatives in a Technical Project, Delivery or Project Management role.
- Proven track record leading complex, cross-functional projects with multiple teams and external partners.
- Strong technical literacy across modern software delivery, cloud environments and integration patterns (APIs, data, eventing).
- Skilled in delivery planning and governance, including tracking progress, managing milestones and maintaining clear reporting.
- Proactive risk and dependency management, with the ability to drive decisions and keep delivery on track.
- Experience across Agile, hybrid and waterfall environments, with the flexibility to adapt as needed.
- Confident stakeholder engagement, including clear communication with senior leaders and facilitation of complex discussions.
- Exposure to security and compliance requirements, with experience supporting audits and delivery assurance.
- Comfortable with delivery tooling such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint or ClickUp, with strong documentation discipline.
- A solutions-focused mindset, bringing initiative, curiosity and fresh thinking to challenges.
Nice to have but not essential:
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g. financial services or superannuation).
- Formal project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent).
- Proven experience delivering complex initiatives across data migration, CRM, AI and digital platforms.
- Experience managing third-party integrations and vendor-led delivery.
- Strong change management capability, supporting business readiness and adoption.
