Our projects range from new home builds to renovations, where precision tiling plays a key role in achieving premium finishes. Due to continued business growth, we are seeking a skilled and reliable Wall and Floor Tiler to join our team.

About the Role

As a Wall and Floor Tiler, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality tiling work across a variety of residential and commercial projects. This is a hands-on role suited to a detail-oriented tradesperson who takes pride in precision and workmanship.

You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard in line with client expectations and building requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Interpret construction drawings and specifications to determine tiling layouts.
Measure, mark and plan surfaces to ensure precise tile placement and alignment.
Prepare wall and floor surfaces, including cleaning, levelling, and removing old materials.
Install tiles on walls and floors using appropriate adhesives and techniques.
Cut and shape tiles to fit edges, corners, and around fixtures such as pipes and fittings.
Ensure correct tile alignment and spacing during installation to maintain a consistent finish.
Apply grout and clean excess materials and achieve a neat, polished and quality finish.
Perform waterproofing in wet areas in accordance with building standards.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality, durability, and compliance with quality standards.
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
Adhere to workplace health and safety (WHS) policies and procedures at all times.

Skills and Experience

Minimum 1 year of full time relevant work experience as a Wall and Floor Tiler
Proven ability to deliver high-quality tiling finishes in residential or commercial settings
Strong knowledge of tiling materials, adhesives, waterproofing, and surface preparation
Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings
High attention to detail and commitment to workmanship standards
Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks
Strong understanding of workplace safety practices
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply

Qualifications

AQF Certificate III or higher qualification in Wall and Floor Tiling or a related trade qualification or at least 3 years of relevant industry experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
