Located in Thomastown, OmniGrip Direct is an ISO certified company that works within the road safety realm. Due to expansion within our business and secured upcoming contracts, OmniGrip Direct are looking for a Storeperson with the following skills and/or experience to join our team.
Main duties include material handling bulka bags and IBC’s using the forklift to load and unload trucks. You will be responsible for preparing vehicles for upcoming shifts and managing pickups/purchasing of stock/consumables. There is a high focus on always maintaining workplace OH&S and working in a safe and responsible manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working with the Operations Coordinator and Operations Manager to ensure material levels maintained to a minimum
- Material pickups from key suppliers in MR truck
- Forklift driver for loading and unloading trucks
- Forklift driver for safe storage and movement of palletised material
- Monthly warehouse stock take
- General warehouse duties
- Responsible for alerting the Operations Coordinator in maintaining stock levels of essential supplies e.g forklift gas bottles, aggregate and other critical materials
- Responsible for maintaining the bins and emptying them as required
- Making samples
MAINTENANCE
- Maintaining an efficient warehouse and packing space
- Maintaining OH&S and a clean workspace
- Reports any faults or issues with material handling equipment to the Operations Manager
- Reports any faults or issues with racking system, floors, roller doors, etc to the Operations Manager
SAFETY
- Compliance with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; ensuring adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Ensuring a safe working environment for staff and that all state and federal legislation covering workplace safety is complied with.
Forklift licence and HR (auto at a minimum) is a must.

Pay: $32.00 – $34.00 per hour
