VVG Services WA are on the lookout for full-time qualified Light Vehicle Technicians in either of the below locations:

Broome, Western Australia
Perth, Western Australia

Job description:

Providing expert advice in relation to current mechanical condition of light vehicles
Taking all necessary diagnostic steps to ensure the correct operation of light vehicles sold under dealer warranty including the dismantling and reconstruction or replacement of faulty components
Repairing the mechanical parts of the light motor vehicle such as the engine, transmission and the suspension systems
Reporting all necessary work, service or repairs to the Service Manager and recording information using in‐house databases or reporting systems
Ordering parts needed as part of the warranty service
Providing guidance and training to apprentice service technicians
Maintaining an up‐to‐date knowledge of all mechanical issues and changes relating to dealer product range
Maintaining a safe working environment through ensuring the correct operation of all tools and specialised equipment
Ensuring the safe work practices of all Apprentice staff
Test driving and conducting final assessments prior to the delivery or return of light vehicles to customers
Providing high level customer service to the dealership’s customers
Other duties as directed by the Manager for this position.

Ideally, the successful candidates will have the following:

Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology is essential
Motor Vehicle Repairers Certificate is essential
Ability to work unsupervised and also work well in a team environment
Heavy Rigid license is preferred however not essential
Ability to problem solve
Experience with European, American or Japanese truck brands is not essential but will be highly regarded
