Full Job Description

We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join the team in Smithton or Burnie in a permanent, full-time role!

At Findex, we are looking for a Bookkeeper to join our team in Smithton or Burnie in a permanent, full-time role!

What will your typical week look like?

Assist in the preparation of business activity statements
Date entry into accounting software, reconciling client accounts, processing wages
Assisting clients with ad hoc bookkeeping queries
Ensure jobs are completed effectively by meeting technical standards and deadlines, within budget
Assist with administration tasks including filing, maintaining client records and data entry
Support process improvement, efficiency and consistency by utilising standardised workflows to support automation, adhering to Group guidelines
Ensure all documentation including work papers and client files are maintained in line with Findex compliance requirements
Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge to ensure compliance with all statutory and relevant regulatory requirements
Liaise with various providers and statutory authorities (i.e. ASIC, ATO) on behalf of clients

You are someone with…..

A bookkeeping background – but you’ll learn the ropes from our experienced team
Experience working with Xero, MYOB and other accounting programs would be an advantage
Proficient in Microsoft outlook, excel & word
Working towards your degree or Tafe Certificate - preferred but not necessary
