Full Job Description

We’re looking for a Steward part-time or casual who takes pride in their work. Our stewards play a vital role in supporting our chefs by maintaining clean, organised kitchens and upholding exceptional standards. If you’re reliable, energetic, and want to be part of a fast‑paced team, this could be the perfect opportunity to start your journey with InterContinental.

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

Cleaning and sterilising countertops, walls, stoves, ovens, grills, sinks and cooking equipment
Maintaining food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators
Receiving and organising deliveries to the kitchen
Supporting the chefs and other kitchen staff in basic food preparation, cutting, peeling, and washing
Removing kitchen waste and washing dirty dishes
Role available as Part time or Casual dependant on availability and candidate

What We need from you:

Availability to work across different days and times: Morning shifts as early as 6:00am and or late shifts finishing at 1:00am
Passion for delivering great service
Previous experience as a Steward, Kitchen Attendant or Prep Chef is helpful but not necessary
Experience working in a busy kitchen environment and working to deadlines is helpful but not necessary
Willingness to learn new things and work as part of a wider hotel team
