This full‑time position, based in our Fortitude Valley office, is available for an immediate start. Key responsibilities include:-
- Operate and maintain the Information Security issue and risk register within the ISMS, including capturing security issues, control gaps, and remediation actions, audit items, and driving day‑to‑day tracking and progression of these items with stakeholders, escalating where required.
- Monitor and assess compliance with security policies, standards, and regulatory obligations, and work with stakeholders to address identified gaps and audit actions
- Operate and manage Sunwater’s vulnerability management capability across IT and OT environments, including identifying, prioritising, supporting and progressing the remediation of security weaknesses across systems and assets
- Operate and continuously improve external attack surface monitoring capabilities, identifying exposed services, misconfigurations, and emerging risks, and coordinating remediation with relevant teams
- Utilise security tooling (including SIEM, EDR, NDR and related platforms) to perform analysis and investigation of cybersecurity events, incidents and provide recommendations to support effective mitigation and risk reduction.
- Collaborate with the external Security Operations Centre (SOC) provider to validate alerts, support investigations, and improve detection and response outcomes
- Provide clear, risk-based reporting and analysis on security posture, vulnerabilities, incidents, and control effectiveness to support decision-making and prioritisation across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Our ideal candidate will have two years’ experience in a similar role, supported by a degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science or IT, or related field, or equivalent experience. Success in this role calls for sharp problem‑solving abilities, clear and confident communication, and the capacity to build strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
