The Role of a Practitioner

Each Practitioner is provided with a space and the resources to allow you to get the best outcomes for the children in your care.

Our client support team looks after all of the paperwork, invoicing and scheduling, leaving you to do what you really love to do.

We have developed simple processes designed to make your work life easy. This includes a user-friendly, online platform with established procedures.

We are an in-clinic service and mobile services are only offered at your discretion. You will be able to use the latest technology to collaborate and communicate with the team to increase efficiency in your day.

Your work day remains within your work day! You are scheduled with time specifically allocated within your day to complete tasks.

Occupational Therapist

We are looking for an OT with 3 years+ experience, part-time or full-time, to join our multidisciplinary team consisting of occupational therapists, speech pathologists, physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, dietitians, social workers and allied health assistants. We have innovative job design options allowing flexibility, traditional or high rewards career pathways, with opportunities for mentoring other team members. Our caseload would lend itself to an OT interested in emotional regulation and supporting sensory differences to align with our dedicated feeding program as well as our clients with complex needs.

About You

You are a values-oriented OT who is passionate about giving children with disability and developmental delays a better quality of life. You are open-minded to innovation and enjoy autonomy. You are an open communicator and contribute to the team with feedback and recommendations that inform commitment to career satisfaction and longevity and exceptional client and service outcomes.

About the Role

You will be part of a team of OT’s and allied health professionals. We specially designed clinic rooms and also provide services in natural environments of home and school. We have a team of allied health assistants to support therapy goals and programs, particularly with group programs or embedding skills in natural environments. Our innovative approach to multidisciplinary services is designed to ensure that clients move through our programs in a structured progression so they can spend more time living and less time in therapy.

Caseload Expectations

We know how important a good workflow is to maintaining balance in your life. This role would involve four days working with clients face to face in our Belconnen Clinic for a full-time role. This role is designed to allow you to have flexibility in managing your non-face-to-face tasks in a workflow that suits you.

The number of clients you see each week would depend on your level of experience.

Requirements:

Degree in Occupational Therapy
Certified Practicing Occupational Therapist with AHPRA or Eligible to be considered for this position.
