Our outreach programs provide safety planning, advocacy, emotional support and practical pathways that help victim survivors rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
As the Team Leader for Family Violence Outreach, you become a steady, compassionate presence in that journey. You guide a team who show up with courage and care, ensuring every interaction is trauma informed, child focused and grounded in best practice. Your leadership creates the conditions for healing, stability and empowerment, and your influence is felt in every safe step a woman or child takes toward their future.
You will lead the daily operations of our family violence outreach programs across the Darwin region. This includes supporting case workers, strengthening practice, nurturing team wellbeing and ensuring services remain responsive, safe and aligned with internal and legislative requirements.
You will work closely with the Regional Manager to build capability, maintain strong community partnerships and drive continuous improvement. A small caseload may be required to stay connected to frontline work and maintain a deep understanding of client experience.
This is a permanent full-time position based in Darwin. Pay is in accordance with SCHADS Level 7.
Lead and support a dedicated team delivering specialist family violence outreach services
Oversee daily operations to ensure services are safe, consistent and aligned with best practice
Provide reflective supervision, coaching and guidance that builds confidence and resilience
Support intake, assessment and case management processes, including holding a small caseload where needed
Monitor service performance, quality, risk and compliance, escalating issues appropriately
Build strong, respectful relationships with government agencies, community partners and sector networks
Contribute to program development, service improvements and implementation of practice frameworks
Ensure accurate client records, reporting and data integrity
Promote a safe, inclusive and culturally responsive service environment
Degree qualification in Social Work or a related field
Demonstrated experience in the family violence sector, including case management and outreach or residential services
Experience leading or supervising staff in a community services environment
Strong understanding of trauma informed practice, risk assessment and safety planning
Highly effective communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience managing resources, budgets and service performance
Ability to work collaboratively, think critically and respond calmly in complex situations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and client management systems
NT Driver’s Licence
Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free, plus an additional $2,650 meal and entertainment benefit
