Our Brooklyn yard is seeking a practical, hands-on Plant Operator, to contribute to general yard activities, maintain smooth and safe daily operations, and assist customers with basic enquiries and service needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

Operate plant equipment including material handlers, forklifts, loaders, and excavators (where licensed)
Load and unload trucks, skip bins, and trailers
Grade, sort, and manage metals to meet operational and quality standards
Maintain site compliance with environmental guidelines and OH&S policies
Deliver excellent service to internal and external customers

What we’re looking for:

Experience operating forklift – Licence essential
Proven experience in Excavator operating – License essential
Loader, skid steer, or other plant tickets – advantageous
Good customer service skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Hands-on approach and willingness to be flexible
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and excellent attendance
Positive, can-do attitude and openness to training to expand skills
