About the role

The Ward Clerk is responsible for the delivery of consumer-focussed administrative support; ensuring equity of access throughout the resident’s journey in the facility and to assist the multidisciplinary team by providing efficient clerical support to achieve the desired outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Provide confidential and accurate reception and clerical support, ensuring professional, consumer-focused customer service.
Manage administrative tasks including data entry, filing, iPMS/BEIMS updates, mail processing, and office supplies.
Maintain patient confidentiality and compliance with Barwon Health policies, documentation standards, and reporting requirements.
Communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, escalating and resolving issues to support efficient service delivery.

What we’re looking for

Experience working in a fast-paced, consumer-focused environment, with previous administrative or clerical experience.
Strong computer literacy with the ability to quickly learn specialised health systems and software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
High attention to detail with strong record-keeping skills and flexibility to work rostered shifts as required.
