About the Role:
We are seeking a highly capable Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex strategic, operational, and transformation initiatives across Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT).
As part of the Digital Transformation Office and reporting to the CFO based within Finance, you will collaborate across Finance, IT, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and operational teams to ensure initiatives are well governed and aligned to organisational goals.
You will lead end-to-end delivery while enabling sustainable change—supporting planning, building change readiness, and embed initiatives into business-as-usual with a strong focus on resident and service user outcomes.
The role also engages with external delivery partners and vendors, ensuring delivery is coordinated, dependencies are managed, and outcomes remain aligned with organisational values.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Project Leadership & Delivery

Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, high-impact transformation and operational initiatives aligned to organisational strategy
- Translate strategic objectives into clear, outcome-driven delivery plans with measurable benefits and success criteria
- Establish and enforce strong governance across scope, schedule, cost, and quality to maximise value delivery and manage risk
- Champion fit-for-purpose delivery frameworks to ensure consistency, transparency, and disciplined execution
Governance, Assurance & Financial Stewardship

Embed robust governance frameworks to support decision-making, assurance, and accountability across the project lifecycle
- Partner with Executive Sponsors, PMO, and senior leaders to provide clear visibility of performance, risks, dependencies, and financial impacts
- Ensure delivery within approved budgets, with strong cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Proactively identify, manage, and escalate risks and issues to support informed executive decisions
- Prepare monthly portfolio reporting for the CFO and Executive Leadership Team
Stakeholder Engagement & Organisational Influence

Build trusted relationships across Finance, IT, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and operational teams
- Act as a key coordination point between business leaders, vendors, and delivery partners
- Support Executive Sponsors with clear reporting and insights to enable effective governance
- Foster shared ownership of outcomes with a strong focus on resident experience and service quality
Change Enablement & Sustainable Outcomes

Support structured change management approaches to enable adoption of new systems, processes, and ways of working
- Work with operational leaders to ensure smooth transition into business-as-usual
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and learning
- Ensure delivery reflects SCC’s values of dignity, respect, collaboration, and person-centred care

About You

Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency (essential)
- Recognised project management qualification (PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile or equivalent)
- Proven experience delivering complex end-to-end projects and transformation initiatives
- Experience working in regulated environments with multiple stakeholders, including external partners
- Strong capability leading multidisciplinary teams across operational, technology, and corporate functions
- Experience in aged care, health, or human services transformation (highly regarded)
- Demonstrated financial management skills including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Strong governance, risk, and delivery management capability
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrix organisation and support senior executives
- Understanding of change management methodologies (e.g. ADKAR)
- Proficiency with tools such as MS Project, Planner, and Jira
- Knowledge of security, privacy, and governance frameworks (desirable)
