About the team
Government Shared Services (GSS) is a new division in DCS that is leading the way in streamlining processes and transactional shared services to allow our people to better focus on their customers and delivering their services.
We are developing and delivering a roadmap to leverage technology, streamline processes, replace legacy systems and deliver a consistent experience to more than 100+ agencies across 8 NSW Government Departments.
What you will do
The Senior Automation Developer plays a leading role in the delivery of automations and works across the full end-to-end automation lifecycle including:
- Evaluate processes and validate their potential and suitability for RPA including planning the scope, developing timeline and cost estimations
- Create and maintain throughout the project lifecycle, Process Qualification Document (PQD), Process Design Document (PDD) and the Solution Design Document (SDD) including detailed RPA solution process flows and process and technical specifications
- Define and plan the development approach for larger projects through to smaller developments factoring in the existing RPA program and future development opportunities into the solution design
- Drive UiPath solutions through test, change management, and production readiness cycles, providing operational and change management support for all RPA developments
- Apply agile practices and principles to maximise business value and continuously improve the delivery of customer outcomes including capturing repeat functions so that the teams can leverage a consistent approach.
- Lead the ongoing technical support for processes already deployed in production, working with business SMEs to identify root cause, develop solutions and adjust the automation to resolve production issues.

About You
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong capabilities in:
- Experience in RPA development and UiPath development.

Strong Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and RPA Best Practices. Understanding of SDLC, DevOps and Agile Development Methodologies.
- Solid experience as an RPA Consultant, Senior RPA Developer or RPA Technical Lead.
- Experience developing and implementing of automated UiPath processes or suitable wider development experience
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning
- Experience with Microsoft Power Automate, JIRA, Power BI, .NET and Visual Basic (VB)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Highly proficient in using MS Excel, MS Visio and MS PowerPoint
