ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re seeking an experienced
Learning & Development (L&D) Manager to lead and deliver our organisational capability strategy across the business.
This is a newly created, high-impact role reporting to the Chief People Officer, responsible for building workforce capability, leadership depth and employee experience to support our strategic plan.
You’ll work across all employee groups the leadership team, support office, direct care and clinical to ensure our people are set up for success now and into the future.
This is not a traditional L&D role. It’s a strategic and hands-on opportunity to shape how the organisation builds capability, develops leaders and supports career progression at scale.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and deliver leadership strategy and programs to build capability across all leadership levels
- Strengthen leadership effectiveness in performance, engagement, and team management
- Build and deliver development solutions to strengthen succession pipelines and readiness
- Support HR-led talent and succession processes through targeted development pathways and programs
- Design role-based and scalable learning pathways aligned to workforce needs
- Improve workforce productivity through targeted capability uplift
- Translate engagement and culture insights into leader-led team action and behaviour change
- Design and deliver toolkits, workshops and interventions to embed culture at team level
- Enable successful implementation of business and transformation initiatives through capability and learning support
- Design and oversee employee award and recognition programs that reinforce organisational values, leadership behaviours and performance expectations
- Design and embed wellbeing capability and programs that support workforce resilience, engagement and sustainable performance
ABOUT YOU
You’re a strategic and hands-on L&D professional who thrives in building capability and driving meaningful change. You’re confident influencing senior leaders, comfortable working across complex environments, and passionate about developing people and organisations.
You will bring:
- Tertiary qualification in Learning & Development, Organisational Development, Human Resources, Psychology or a related discipline
- Proven experience building an L&D function in a highly regulated environment
- Strong experience in leadership development, succession and performance frameworks
- Demonstrated success delivering large-scale L&D initiatives
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Excellent communication, facilitation and program design capability
- A data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into action
- Experience with HR systems, LMS platforms and emerging AI tools
- Experience leading or participating in M&A integration activities
- Experience in aged care, healthcare or service-based environments highly regarded
