Undertake your training journey with the Monash Emergency Team as an Emergency Registrar in 2027
Monash is Victoria’s Largest Healthcare provider, delivering care to one-quarter of Melbourne’s population across the entire lifespan. We are accredited for all aspects of FACEM training and offers one of Victoria’s most comprehensive Emergency Medicine training programs. We are looking for doctors undertaking vocational specialist training to join our busy and dynamic Emergency Registrar program, supporting the next stage of their careers.
Emergency Registrar Eligibility – 2027
Monash Health Emergency Registrar positions are designated vocational training roles. Successful applicants will be expected to be enrolled in, or commencing, a recognised specialist training program by the commencement of employment in 2027. This may include Emergency Medicine (ACEM) or other relevant specialist pathways where Emergency Medicine training forms part of vocational requirements (e.g. RACGP, RACP, ICU, Anaesthetics or other approved training programs).

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- Clinical Expertise: Ability to define and manage complex clinical problems in critically ill patients.
- Communication: Effective communication skills, empathy, and trust with patients and their families.
- Autonomy: Demonstrate clinical autonomy under the guidance of supervising Emergency consultants, with the level of autonomy adjusting based on the trainee's capabilities.
