About your opportunity
In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality oral health care across the Townsville Hospital and Health Service. Working closely with Dental Officers and Oral Health Therapists, you will provide chair-side assistance and help ensure a safe, efficient and positive experience for patients.
You will contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of dental clinics, including maintaining instruments and equipment, managing clinical consumables, and supporting stock control processes. You will also assist with recording clinical activity and ensure all patient information is managed with professionalism and confidentiality.
You will have the opportunity to work across a range of Oral Health facilities within the Townsville region, contributing to a collaborative team environment and supporting the delivery of consistent, high-standard care to eligible clients.
Requirements:
A Certificate III in Dental Assisting is mandatory for appointment at the CA3 classification. Where this qualification has not been completed, appointment will be made at the CA2 classification as a Dental Assistant Trainee, with the requirement to successfully complete the qualification within 12 months of commencement.
In accordance with the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000, Queensland Health is required to obtain a 'Working with Children Check' (Blue Card) prior to appointment to this position.
